About Us

Alpine Robotics is a 501(c)(3) student-run organization , founded in 1998 by Steve Sayers, a teacher from Poudre High School. Operating within FIRST, for over 20 years Alpine Robotics has provided students from Poudre High School and the Fort Collins area with the opportunity to participate in and learn about engineering from community professionals. These mentors guide students in the designing, building, and programming of robots. In early January FRC (FIRST Robotics Competition) reveals the game, made up of multiple tasks that teams will construct and program robots, to complete. We then design, build and program our robot every year. To learn more about FRC and FIRST, we encourage you to visit FIRST’s website.
